Sarah was born on the eastern shore of Maryland and grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. From a young age, Sarah applied herself with focus and determination to the task at hand, be it a swim race, an orchestra audition, or a math exam. Sarah draws on that same work ethic as General Counsel and Chief of Staff at Burke America, where she provides guidance on legal matters and works to streamline communications and enhance productivity companywide. Prior to joining Burke America, Sarah advised entrepreneurial clients on mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate issues at Chicago law firm Hershman Cohen. Sarah began her legal career at Skadden Arps, where she spent many years advising public and private company clients on matters ranging from poison pills and proxy fights to securities issuances to corporate governance. Sarah earned her undergrad degree from Princeton and her law degree from Northwestern, where she was an editor of the Law Review and was elected to Order of the Coif. Outside of the office, Sarah and her husband Justin spend their time raising three daughters and fixing up their 125-year-old house.
